The Independence 76ers basketball team (San Jose, CA), was nudged 45-38 in Thursday's league battle with the host Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA)
The Mustangs now sport a 8-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hill for a Blossom Valley - Almaden Valley battle on Tuesday, February 6. Gilroy will battle a Falcons team coming off a 48-25 league loss to Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 8-12.
The 76ers (11-11) will now prepare for their battle against Del Mar (San Jose, CA). The Dons come into the Blossom Valley - Almaden Valley battle with a 14-8 record. In their last battle, Del Mar was nudged by Westmont (Campbell, CA), 39-30, in a league battle.
