With the victory, Gull Lake improves its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI) to confront the Lancers in a Southwestern Michigan - West challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 11-1.

Next up, the Huskies confront the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Portage Northern will attempt to improve on its 0-14 season record. The Maroon Giants come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 58-38 league win over Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI).
