Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Hempfield Area beaten by Norwin

In Thursday's league test, the host Norwin Knights basketball squad scored a nice 49-31 win over the Hempfield Area Spartans.
The Knights (16-3) will now prepare for their test against Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA). The Rams go into the WPIAL 6A 1 test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Pine-Richland notched a victory over North Catholic (Cranberry Township, PA), 42-34, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Butler for a WPIAL 6A 1 test on Monday, February 5. Hempfield Area will encounter a Golden Tornado squad coming off a 58-53 league loss to North Allegheny (Wexford, PA). The Golden Tornado record now stands at 4-14.
