The Sevier County Smoky Bears tipped the visiting Heritage Mountaineers basketball team by a final score of 55-52 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Smoky Bears face the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans (Morristown, TN) in a 4A District 2 game, on Friday, February 2. Sevier County will attempt to move on its 22-2 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 5-11 record after their 47-44 non-league loss to Cocke County (Newport, TN).

With the defeat, Heritage moves to 16-3 on the year. The Mountaineers travel to Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN) to face the Panthers in a 3A District 5 game on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 5-12. Lenoir City won 73-35 in their recent league game against Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN)
