In Thursday's league outing, the Mount St. Mary Academy Lions (Watchung, NJ) basketball squad edged the host Hunterdon Central Red Devils (Flemington, NJ), by a margin of 39-36.
The Lions (9-10) will now prepare for their outing against Watchung Hills Regional (Warren, NJ). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 3-15 record. In their last outing, Watchung Hills Regional was tipped by Hillsborough (Hillsborough, NJ), 66-41, in a league outing.
The Red Devils now own a 12-6 record. They play next when they host Sparta for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 3. Hunterdon Central will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 49-35 non-league win over Vernon (Vernon, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 6-13.
