The Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL) basketball knocked off the host Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL), 50-33 in Thursday's league test.

The Indians (17-11) will now prepare for their test against Pope County (Golconda, IL). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 24-2 record. In their last test, Pope County notched a victory over Gallatin County (Junction, IL), 53-19, in a non-league test.

The Pioneers now own a 9-14 record. They play next when they host Shawnee for a non-league test on Monday, February 5. Trico will encounter a Redskins squad coming off a 61-17 non-league loss to Ballard Memorial (Barlow, KY). The Redskins record now stands at 4-11.
