Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS), 42-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kemper County upgrades its record to 14-7 on the campaign.

Next up, the Tigers play the McLaurin Tigers (Florence, MS) in a 3A Region 5 bout, on Friday, February 2. Noxubee County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 2-20 record after their 57-14 league loss to Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS).
