The West Monona Spartans basketball team (Onawa, IA), was overwhelmed 62-34 in Thursday's league battle with the host Kingsley-Pierson Panthers (Kingsley, IA)

The Panthers now possess a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwest Webster for a non-league battle on Monday, February 5. Kingsley-Pierson will confront a Cougars team coming off a 54-33 league loss to South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA). The Cougars record now stands at 9-10.

The Spartans (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Missouri Valley (Missouri Valley, IA). The Big Reds come into the non-league battle with a 3-16 record.
