The Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles basketball team (Hayward, WI), was routed 63-34 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Mellen Granite Diggers (Mellen, WI)

The Granite Diggers now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bayfield for a Northern Lights battle on Monday, February 5. Mellen will battle a Trollers team coming off a 51-35 league loss to Washburn (Washburn, WI). The Trollers record now stands at 0-14.

The Eagles (1-18) will now prepare for their battle against Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI). The Eagles come into the Northern Lights battle with a 4-11 record.
