California High School Basketball - Nevada Union topped by Placer

The Nevada Union Miners basketball team (Grass Valley, CA), dropped 53-38 in Thursday's league battle with the host Placer Hillmen (Auburn, CA)

The Hillmen now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Park for a Foothill Valley battle on Tuesday, February 6. Placer will battle a Panthers team coming off a 55-35 league loss to Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 15-11.

The Miners (7-14) will now prepare for their battle against Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Vikings come into the Foothill Valley battle with a 9-16 record. In their last battle, Oakmont dropped by Lincoln (Lincoln, CA), 68-28, in a league battle.
