The Verona Hillbillies basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Newark Tech Terries to 23 in the Hillbillies non-league victory on Thursday.

The Hillbillies now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Essex for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Verona will battle a Knights team coming off a 43-39 league loss to Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 12-7.

The Terries (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Livingston (Livingston, NJ). The Lancers come into the non-league contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Livingston was routed by Verona (Verona, NJ), 27-18, in a league contest.
