In Thursday's league outing, the North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Turkey Valley Trojans (Jackson Junction, IA), by a margin of 52-49.

The (13-6) will now prepare for their outing against Central (Elkader, IA). The Warriors go into the Upper Iowa outing with a 12-6 record. In their last outing, Central got by Starmont (Arlington, IA), 57-19, in a non-league outing.

The Trojans now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Postville for a Upper Iowa outing on Friday, February 2. Turkey Valley will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 49-29 league loss to South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA). The Pirates record now stands at 2-18.
