In Thursday's league outing, the Stayton Eagles (Stayton, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sweet Home Huskies (Sweet Home, OR), by a count of 63-12.
The Eagles (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against North Marion (Aurora, OR). The Huskies go into the 4A Oregon West outing with a 9-10 record. In their last outing, North Marion smashed Newport (Newport, OR), 34-30, in a league outing.
The Huskies now hold a 1-14 record. They play next when they travel to Cascade for a 4A Oregon West outing on Monday, February 5. Sweet Home will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 45-41 league loss to Philomath (Philomath, OR). The Cougars record now stands at 12-6.
