Unicoi County Blue Devils (Erwin, TN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sullivan East Patriots (Bluff City, TN), 66-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Unicoi County upgrades its record to 6-10 on the season. The Blue Devils host Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN) to play the Patriots in a 3A District 1 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 3-19. Sullivan East lost 66-30 in their recent non-league bout against Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN)

Next up, the Patriots play the David Crockett Pioneers (Jonesborough, TN) in a 3A District 1 bout, on Friday, February 2. Sullivan East will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 19-3 record after their 56-55 non-league loss to West Ridge (Blountville, TN).
