The Wapsie Valley Warriors basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Union Knights to 48 in the Warriors league triumph on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hudson for a North Iowa Cedar - East contest on Friday, February 2. Wapsie Valley will meet a Pirates team coming off a 80-42 league win over Columbus (Waterloo, IA). The Pirates record now stands at 10-9.

The Knights (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Aplington-Parkersburg was nudged by Denver (Denver, IA), 57-44, in a league contest.
