South Carolina High School Basketball - Hilton Head Island can't hold off May River

The May River Sharks basketball team scored 24 points and held the visiting Hilton Head Island Seahawks to 23 in the Sharks league triumph on Thursday.
The Sharks now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Colleton County for a contest on Monday, February 5. May River will battle a Cougars team coming off a 29-23 non-league loss to Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC). The Cougars record now stands at 0-7.
The Seahawks (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against James Island (Charleston, SC). The Trojans enter the contest with a 23-0 record. In their last contest, James Island nudged Bluffton (Bluffton, SC), 43-16, in a league contest.
