Minnetonka Skippers (Minnetonka, MN) fans left the game thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their ice hockey team hold off the visiting Wayzata Trojans (Plymouth, MN), 5-4 in a league match.
The Skippers (18-0) will now prepare for their match against Buffalo (Buffalo, MN). The Bison enter the non-league match with a 5-12 record. In their last match, Buffalo held off St. Michael-Albertville (Albertville, MN), 4-0, in a league match.
Next up, the Trojans encounter the Blake Bears (Minneapolis, MN) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 9. Wayzata will attempt to advance on its 17-2 season record.
