In Thursday's league challenge, the Salmon River Shamrocks (Fort Covington, NY) ice hockey team nipped the host Tupper Lake Lumberjacks (Tupper Lake, NY), by a margin of 4-3.
The Shamrocks now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Potsdam for a Division 1 challenge on Saturday, February 3. Salmon River will play a Sandstoners team coming off a 11-4 non-league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY). The Sandstoners record now stands at 0-2.
