Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA), 65-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Arcadia upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Firebirds host Poquoson (Poquoson, VA) to clash with the Islanders in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Islanders go into the bout with a record of 2-15. Poquoson lost 58-42 in their recent non-league bout against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA)

Next up, the Ponies clash with the Nandua Warriors (Onley, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Chincoteague will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 60-52 non-league win over Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA).
