Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) and the host Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), saw Swansboro's basketball squad knock off Dixon by a count of 60-41.

With the victory, Swansboro upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Pirates host Richlands (Richlands, NC) to play the Wildcats in a challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-15. Richlands lost 52-27 in their recent non-league battle against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC)

The Bulldogs (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Croatan (Newport, NC). The Cougars come into the battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Croatan dropped by West Carteret (Morehead City, NC), 40-37, in a non-league battle.
