Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) and the host Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA), saw Woodside's basketball squad crush Menchville by a margin of 78-51.

The Wolverines (17-0) will now prepare for their test against Warwick (Newport News, VA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, Warwick was trounced by Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA), 70-39, in a non-league test.

The Monarchs now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Hampton for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 6. Menchville will encounter a Crabbers squad coming off a 61-50 non-league win over Heritage (Newport News, VA). The Crabbers record now stands at 11-3.
