Strayhorn Mustangs (Sarah, MS) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS), 4-3 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs face the Philadelphia Tornadoes (Philadelphia, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Strayhorn will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Tornadoes enter the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 1-0 league win over Mississippi School for Mathematics & Science (Columbus, MS).

The Rams now have a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kemper County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 3. Vardaman will face a Wildcats team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Winona (Winona, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-7.
