The Anoka Tornadoes nipped the visiting Moorhead Spuds basketball squad by a final score of 72-70 in Saturday's non-league outing.
Next, the Tornadoes clash with the Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN) in a AAAA Section 7 outing, on Monday, February 3. Anoka will attempt to upgrade on its 14-3 season record. The Cardinals enter the outing with a 5-13 record after their 76-67 league loss to Andover (Andover, MN).
The Spuds (13-5) will now prepare for their outing against Elk River (Elk River, MN). The Elks enter the AAAA Section 8 outing with a 4-15 record. In their last outing, Elk River was nipped by Anoka (Anoka, MN), 69-54, in a non-league outing.
