In Saturday's league test, the Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Lanham Christian Lions (Lanham, MD), by a score of 77-69.
Next, the Black Knights encounter the Covenant Life Cougars (Gaithersburg, MD) in a non-league test, on Friday, February 7. Avalon will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record.
The Lions (17-5) will now prepare for their test against Takoma Academy (Takoma Park, MD). The Tigers come into the Maryland Independent test with a 13-12 record.
