In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Pontiac Phoenix basketball team scored a close 56-53 triumph over the Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks.

The Phoenix (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Southfield Arts & Tech (Southfield, MI). The Warriors go into the Oakland - Blue contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Southfield Arts & Tech nipped Berkley (Berkley, MI), 43-39, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Black Hawks confront the Rochester Falcons (Rochester Hills, MI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Bloomfield Hills will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 12-4 record after their 50-43 league win over Pontiac (Pontiac, MI).
