Illinois High School Basketball - Clifton Central nudges Milford

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) and the visiting Milford Bearcats (Milford, IL), observed Clifton Central's basketball team edge Milford by a score of 61-57.

The Comets (15-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Comets come into the non-league challenge with a 8-17 record. In their last challenge, Reed-Custer was tipped by Herscher (Herscher, IL), 44-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bearcats encounter the Cissna Park Timberwolves (Cissna Park, IL) in a challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Milford will attempt to improve on its 5-20 season record. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a 6-17 record after their 69-52 league loss to Oakwood (Fithian, IL).
