In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Country Christian Cougars basketball team scored a big 66-43 triumph over the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs.
The Cougars (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Umpqua Valley Christian (Roseburg, OR). The Monarchs go into the non-league contest with a 16-5 record. In their last contest, Umpqua Valley Christian smashed Yoncalla (Yoncalla, OR), 62-42, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Monarchs battle the Yoncalla Eagles (Yoncalla, OR) in a 1A Skyline contest, on Saturday, February 1. Umpqua Valley Christian will attempt to better on its 16-5 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 10-8 record after their 65-50 league win over Days Creek (Days Creek, OR).
