Next, the Eagles clash with the Alvin Yellowjackets (Alvin, TX) in a 6A Region III District 22 test, on Wednesday, February 5. Dawson will attempt to improve on its 16-16 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a 13-18 record after their 63-35 league loss to Manvel (Manvel, TX).

The Texans (6-25) will now prepare for their test against Dobie (Houston, TX). The Longhorns go into the 6A Region III District 22 game with a 6-25 record. In their last game, Dobie was toppled by South Houston (South Houston, TX), 56-53, in a league game.
