The Lamar County Trojans basketball squad (Barnesville, GA), was crushed 65-36 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA)

With the victory, Upson-Lee advances its record to 15-4 on the year. The Knights travel to Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA) to meet the Tigers in a AAA Region 2 battle on Monday, February 3. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 11-8. Fayette County lost 76-46 in their recent league battle against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA)

The Trojans now own a 7-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwest Atlanta Christian for a A D1 Region 4 battle on Tuesday, February 4. Lamar County will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 46-45 non-league win over Whitefield Academy (Mableton, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-17.
