The Rio Grande City Rattlers basketball squad (Rio Grande City, TX), was nudged 46-41 in Saturday's league battle with the host Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX)
With the victory, Nixon advances its record to 9-29 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX) to meet the Huskies in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Huskies enter the battle with a record of 0-4.
The Rattlers now own a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roma for a battle on Thursday, February 6. Rio Grande City will meet a Gladiators squad coming off a 51-29 non-league win over Martin (Laredo, TX). The Gladiators record now stands at 10-1.
