The Welch Wildcats basketball squad (Welch, OK), was nudged 31-30 in Saturday's league battle with the host Bluejacket Chieftains (Bluejacket, OK)
With the victory, Bluejacket advances its record to 2-16 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Wesleyan Christian (Bartlesville, OK) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Friday, February 7. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 12-4.
The Wildcats now own a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Afton for a Lucky Seven battle on Monday, February 3. Welch will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 49-26 non-league win over Oklahoma Union (South Coffeyville, OK). The Eagles record now stands at 11-7.
