California High School Basketball - Desert Christian routed by Santa Clarita Christian

Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals (Canyon Country, CA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Desert Christian Knights (Lancaster, CA), 48-27 in a league match.

With the victory, Santa Clarita Christian upgrades its record to 16-7 on the year. The Cardinals host Lancaster Baptist (Lancaster, CA) to face the Eagles in a Heritage match on Monday, February 3. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 7-8. Lancaster Baptist lost 42-40 in their recent league match against Vasquez (Acton, CA)

The Knights now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faith Baptist for a Heritage match on Monday, February 3. Desert Christian will face a Contenders squad coming off a 50-24 league win over St. Monica Academy (Montrose, CA). The Contenders record now stands at 11-10.
