Georgia High School Basketball - Douglas County trounced by New Manchester

The Douglas County Tigers basketball squad (Douglasville, GA), was crushed 70-49 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting New Manchester Jaguar (Douglasville, GA)

With the victory, New Manchester advances its record to 20-3 on the year. The Jaguar host South Paulding (Douglasville, GA) to meet the Spartans in a AAAAA Region 5 battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Spartans enter the battle with a record of 14-9. South Paulding won 51-49 in their recent league battle against Kennesaw Mountain (Kennesaw, GA)

The Tigers now own a 2-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrollton for a AAAAAA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, February 4. Douglas County will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 46-43 non-league loss to Lakeview Academy (Gainesville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 17-7.
