The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions (San Jose, CA) and the visiting Latino College Preparatory Academy Golden Eagles (San Jose, CA), observed Luis Valdez Leadership Academy's basketball team overcome Latino College Preparatory Academy by a score of 32-21.

The Lions (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against East Palo Alto Academy (East Palo Alto, CA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 0-10 record. In their last challenge, East Palo Alto Academy dropped by Kehillah (Palo Alto, CA), 47-15, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles battle the ACE Charter Cheetahs (San Jose, CA) in a Private School - South challenge, on Wednesday, February 5. Latino College Preparatory Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Cheetahs come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 25-10 league loss to El Primero (San Jose, CA).
