The Valley View Spartans basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Oakwood Lumberjacks to 42 in the Spartans league triumph on Saturday.

The Spartans now have a 13-7 record. They play next when they host Edgewood for a non-league game on Monday, February 3. Valley View will confront a Cougars team coming off a 41-36 non-league loss to Madison (Middletown, OH). The Cougars record now stands at 2-17.

With the loss, Oakwood falls to 13-6 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks host Xenia (Xenia, OH) to confront the Buccaneers in a non-league game on Monday, February 3. The Buccaneers go into the game with a record of 1-18.
