In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Ralston Valley Mustangs ice hockey team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Denver East Angels.

The Mustangs (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Poudre School District (Fort Collins, CO). The Stars come into the 5A League 4 challenge with a 13-1 record. In their last challenge, Poudre School District got by Castle View (Castle Rock, CO), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Angels battle the Regis Jesuit Raiders (Aurora, CO) in a 5A League 2 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Denver East will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 7-5 non-league win over Chatfield (Littleton, CO).
