South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), 62-55 in a league bout.

With the win, South Stanly upgrades its record to 5-18 on the season. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls host South Davidson (Denton, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 11. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 6-16. South Davidson lost 57-45 in their recent non-league bout against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 35 bout, on Friday, February 11. Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 0-17 record after their 61-46 league loss to South Stanly (Norwood, NC).
