The Floyd County Buffaloes basketball team (Floyd, VA), was nudged 64-58 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA)
The Mountaineers now possess a 14-6 record.
The Buffaloes (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights come into the Three Rivers battle with a 16-3 record. In their last battle, James River edged McCluer (Buena Vista, VA), 67-48, in a non-league battle.
