California High School Basketball - Mountain Empire nudges Horizon Prep

February 10, 2022: Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067

In Thursday's non-league outing, the Mountain Empire Redhawks (Pine Valley, CA) basketball squad edged the host Horizon Prep Lions (Rancho Santa Fe, CA), by a count of 42-37.

The Redhawks (15-5) will now prepare for their outing against Warner (Warner Springs, CA). The Wildcats go into the non-league outing with a 7-8 record. In their last outing, Warner held off Borrego Springs (Borrego Springs, CA), 39-35, in a league outing.

The Lions now hold a 12-6 record. They play next when they host High Tech NC for a Sierra outing on Friday, February 11. Horizon Prep will clash with a Raptor squad coming off a 71-61 non-league loss to Guajome Park Academy (Vista, CA). The Raptor record now stands at 6-12.
