New Mexico High School Basketball - Santa Rosa tops Texico

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM) and the visiting Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM), saw Santa Rosa's basketball squad knock off Texico by a count of 43-33.
With the victory, Santa Rosa upgrades its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Pecos (Pecos, NM) to play the Panthers in a 2A District 6 challenge on Saturday, February 12. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-12. Pecos lost 54-25 in their recent league challenge against Clayton (Clayton, NM)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Portales Rams (Portales, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 12. Texico will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 16-5 record after their 51-38 league win over Goddard (Roswell, NM).
