Alexander Bulldogs (Laredo, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Eagle Pass Eagles (Eagle Pass, TX), 55-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Alexander upgrades its record to 15-14 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX) to play the Wolves in a 6A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 19-14. Laredo LBJ won 61-51 in their recent league bout against Del Rio (Del Rio, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the United Longhorns (Laredo, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 30 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Eagle Pass will attempt to upgrade on its 16-20 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 20-8 record after their 73-50 league win over United South (Laredo, TX).
