Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Astoria/VIT Rebels (Astoria, IL), 51-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Lewistown upgrades its record to 16-11 on the season. The Indians travel to Beardstown (Beardstown, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 14-15. Beardstown lost 56-50 in their recent non-league bout against Havana (Havana, IL)

Next up, the Rebels play the Havana Ducks (Havana, IL) in a Prairieland bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Astoria/VIT will attempt to upgrade on its 7-21 season record. The Ducks go into the bout with a 10-17 record after their 67-19 non-league loss to Illini West (Carthage, IL).
