Baystate Academy (Springfield, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Palmer Panthers (Palmer, MA), 63-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Baystate Academy upgrades its record to 4-11 on the season. The travel to Hoosac Valley (Cheshire, MA) to play the Hurricanes in a Bi-County - East bout on Monday, February 13. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Hoosac Valley won 65-61 in their recent non-league bout against Springfield Renaissance (Springfield, MA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Wahconah Regional Warriors (Dalton, MA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. Palmer will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 73-45 non-league win over Easthampton/Hampshire (Easthampton, MA).
