Guilford Vikings (Rockford, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Belvidere North Blue Thunder (Belvidere, IL), 75-61 in a league bout.

With the win, Guilford upgrades its record to 21-7 on the season. The Vikings host Belvidere (Belvidere, IL) to play the Bucs in a Northern Illinois 10 bout on Saturday, February 11. The Bucs go into the bout with a record of 6-23. Belvidere lost 52-42 in their recent league bout against Hononegah (Rockton, IL)

Next up, the Blue Thunder play the Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL) in a Northern Illinois 10 bout, on Saturday, February 11. Belvidere North will attempt to upgrade on its 9-20 season record. The Pretzels go into the bout with a 11-16 record after their 69-46 league loss to Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL).
