In Friday's league match, the visiting Bovina Mustangs basketball team scored a decisive 54-26 triumph over the Highland Park Hornets.
In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 match, on Tuesday, February 14. Bovina will attempt to better on its 15-14 season record. The Steers enter the match with a 24-4 record after their 43-40 league win over Panhandle (Panhandle, TX).
With the defeat, Highland Park moves to 12-17 on the year. The Hornets travel to Vega (Vega, TX) to meet the Longhorns in a 2A Region I District 3 match on Monday, February 13. The Longhorns enter the match with a record of 16-11. Vega won 70-40 in their recent league match against Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX)
