Calhoun Warriors (Hardin, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Carrollton Hawks (Carrollton, IL), 62-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, Calhoun upgrades its record to 11-17 on the campaign. The Warriors host Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL) to play the Saukees in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Saukees come into the bout with a record of 12-13. Pittsfield won 43-33 in their recent non-league bout against Barry Western (Barry, IL)

Next up, the Hawks play the Bunker Hill Minutemen (Bunker Hill, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. Carrollton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-20 season record. The Minutemen come into the bout with a 8-19 record after their 82-50 league loss to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL).
