The Whitewright Tigers basketball team (Whitewright, TX), was overwhelmed 64-28 in Friday's league battle with the host Celeste Blue Devils (Celeste, TX)
The Blue Devils now possess a 20-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wolfe City for a 2A Region II District 14 battle on Tuesday, February 14. Celeste will confront a Wolves team coming off a 80-45 league win over Trenton (Trenton, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 16-13.
The Tigers (3-24) will now prepare for their battle against Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX). The Rebels come into the 2A Region II District 14 battle with a 24-6 record. In their last battle, Sam Rayburn trounced Bland (Merit, TX), 53-36, in a league battle.
