The Twin Loup Wolves basketball team (Sargent, NE), was overwhelmed 71-35 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Central Valley Cougars (Greeley, NE)
The Cougars now possess a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverside for a D1 District 5 battle on Friday, February 17. Central Valley will confront a Chargers team coming off a 56-25 non-league win over Hampton (Hampton, NE). The Chargers record now stands at 14-7.
The Wolves (3-17) will now prepare for their battle against Burwell (Burwell, NE). The Longhorns come into the D1 District 7 battle with a 7-12 record. In their last battle, Burwell trounced Heartland Lutheran (Grand Island, NE), 52-16, in a non-league battle.
