Childress Bobcats (Childress, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX), 50-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Childress upgrades its record to 21-7 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Slaton (Slaton, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 3A Region I District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-19. Slaton lost 70-42 in their recent league bout against Abernathy (Abernathy, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Roosevelt Eagles (Lubbock, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Idalou will attempt to upgrade on its 18-14 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 10-11 record after their 77-49 league loss to Childress (Childress, TX).
