Chippewa Falls Cardinals (Chippewa Falls, WI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Menomonie Mustangs (Menomonie, WI), 72-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Chippewa Falls upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Altoona (Altoona, WI) to play the Railroaders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Railroaders come into the bout with a record of 6-14. Altoona lost 79-78 in their recent league bout against Somerset (Somerset, WI)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Superior Spartans (Superior, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Menomonie will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 81-63 non-league win over Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN).
